Hard luck to the u17 boys who went down 2-1 to Galway Hibs at Courthouse St today. A terrific free kick from Cathal Scott gave the lads the lead but Hibs hit back with two late second half goals. A dramatic final few minutes saw our lads nearly grab the equaliser and when the Hibs keeper brought down Kevin Healy in the box to give away a penalty it looked like extra time. The keeper who should have been sent off saved the Peno and Hibs advanced to rd 2.A brilliant game for the spectators from a great team performance with D Lavelle in the killala goal outstanding.
